DDNS Setup Problem

Postby jaghead » Sat Aug 10, 2013 10:17 pm

Hi I just purchased a Tenvis JPT3815W setup went well but I cant get over Step 5: Check DDNS there is an error on DDNS registration status: I cannot log in to DDNS server. I've been clicking the redetect button a few times but still can't figure out how to access the camera remotely. Can I ask for a new account and password to log-in to DNS server my device serial # is: 132705011519 , S/N: crjk DDNS: http://crjk.mytenvis.com. Thank you!

Yes I did, and its working if I'm on my network. What I'm trying to do is access the camera remotely from a different network.

To view the camera remotely, please double confirm the IP Config like the below first.
http://www.tenvis.com/support_service.html?type=4&id=59

You can adjust the IP address and port manually if it still does not work.

Then download the below software IP Cam Search and keep clicking Check button and check the DDNS status at the same time.

For me, I don't use DDNS, because my IP address on the internet is fix, always the same. My ISP give me always the same address.
So, I can view my two cams with http://MyIPaddress:MyPort1 and http://MyIPaddress:MyPort2
I have redirected MyPort1 and MyPort2 on my router to the local address of my cams.
I think you have try with your local IP address (192.168.1.239:81 for example) and not your internet IP address.

Good luck.
