Hi Tenvis,

The ability to turn off the infa-red lights is what a lot of people want, what exactly is the problem in realizing this?
I mean, the green light can be turned off within the software, so why not the infa red ones?

It would be a great feature for the next software update.

We do know that many clients require to switch off the infrared led manually. While, comparing to the power led, it belongs to the hardware issue. Thus it could not be updated by upgrading the firmware. Hope for your kind understanding.
Our technician has add this function to the new camera which will be published soon.

Hi
I'm thinking about using the power-led on-off capability to switch on-off the IR.
Should not be a big deal for an electronician, but I'm waiting camera to be out of warranty.
I don't care about on-off led, but care about IR consumption.

For you file, my Wanscam JW0009 camera who look (externally) very similar do have this IR on/off function implemented.

That is my plan, when I have time I'm going to devise some kind of transistor swith to switch the irs on and off via the green power led

Instead of the ldr I will be switching in a 100k resistor giving me the on off I need.

Also you will be suprised how good these cameras are in the dark through a window, with just street lighting

But for now I have just replaced the ldr with a 100k resistor, to totally turn irs off

Hi,

I have bought IPRobot3 camera, I have a problem.

When it works on the night (no light in my house) the camera switch every second to IR mode and normal mode.

In this way, if you have switched ON the motion detection, you ha ve a problem ... it has send to me 670 mail !!

Can you FIX this problem?

I have this firmaware version:

S/N D1CD91N68K7LS56PUZZJ
Software Ver. 1.2.0.3
Release Date 2012-12-21 15:02:04
Hardware Ver. GM8126
Date/Time 2013-11-18 10:44:34

Is it up to date?
How I can find the last firmware?

Thank you

Hello I have the same problem with the auto infrared mode on my Iprobot3. It keeps switching on and off and reflecting in the window making everything 'white'. Please include the ability to disable infrared mode! This makes it totally unuseable for me.

Thanks

I would it too.

My plan was to watch for artic foxes outsite a house. The surrondings are lit with lights but it is impossible to let the camera look out of the window because of the IR lights, that are not nessesary, because of the ligthning. I put a carton with small hole in front of the camera and duck taped it to be able to see outsite. Just hope the camer will not reboot :)

I was looking at buying the Tenvis IP391W HD to solve that problem, but as it will not work under 25°F or -4°C, makes it useless here in Iceland, as I had -12°C yesterday evening. Still that is rather cold here as usually it is around zero C° and above in the winter.

May we know the exact firmware version of your IPROBOT 3?
And when you purchased the camera?

Since the infrared led of IPROBOT 3 could not be switched off, it is better not to put the camera at the window.
The new version IPROBOT 3 will be published soon and the new function of infrared led switching on/off has been added.
