Hi, how do i record video by motion detection alarm on a JPT3815W.  Thanks

Please trigger the Motion Detect Armed first.

When the camera detect for the moving behavior, the alarm light will turn red.

Then recording file address will appear.

accommodating when I can I set the fps down for 1 hour recording 500 mb
I wanted to include about 8 hours

For the motion detection recording alarmed by FTP, the exact recording period is decided by your FTP memory space. Thanks.

1. Alarm record work only open IExplore live view.?
2. setting fps allowed only live view?

Task:
working only one ipcam in house his must be save record on motion detected to ftp server or lan storage...

There is only IE browser supports recording.
For the FTP alarm, it is only available to send the alarm pictures by JPT3815W 2013.
If you want to set the motion detection recording, you can save it to your computer or the hard driver and you need to keep the computer on during recording. Thanks.
